The Orchestra were delighted to perform at The Porthcawl Classical Music & Flower Festival at 5pm on Saturday 9 June 2018 at All Saints Church, Porthcawl. The programme included pieces such as 1812 Overture, Finlandia and Themes from 007.
We received wonderful feedback from all present and were commended highly by the organisers for our "inspired performance"
Newton Village Fete
The Orchestra were invited to perform at the Newton Village Fete, Porthcawl on Saturday 7 July 2018 at 12 noon. We performed pieces such as the English Folk Song Suite, various sea shanties and Selections from The King & I
Porthcawl Carnival 2018
The Orchestra took part in the Porthcawl Carnival on Saturday 21 July. We performed a number of traditional sea shanty pieces including Anchors Aweigh, Blow The Man Down, The Maid Of Amsterdam, On Board A Ninety Eight, We'll Rant & We'll Roar, The Medallion Calls & He's A Pirate.
We won second prize for our pirate themed float!
Christmas Concert 2018
We performed a wide variety of pieces ranging from Leroy Anderson's A Christmas Festival to Everybody Wants to Rule the World by tears for fears.
Our charity raffle was in aid of the Porthcawl Stroke Club.
